Ubuntu 10.4 & Linux...
I run my system on Linux / Ubuntu 10.4, and I use the wine program to run the word software. I use the Ts98 module, most of it all works great! I LOVE the Word program, but the bible txt module I use (Ts98) uses 2 fonts. English and Hebrew. If I change the test to Hebrew then I can not read the English. In the English view it only puts up boxes where the Hebrew font should be. How can I view both or set it to show both? I have gone into the settings and put the Hebrew font and greet font on the appropriate settings,... but if I go into the bible test setting and change the font, it only allows me to put in one or the other,... What can I do to fix this??? Can anyone PLEASE help me to resolve this issue???? Thanks.....

Interesting;
Unfortunately the module does not have the Greek/Hebrew marked as such, so the fonts you choose for Greek/Hebrew are not actually used for this text; everything is rendered with one single font.
Let me propose to select a more capable font for the Bible text that contains English, Hebrew and Greek (e.g. Code2000)

I will try that one, thanks. I did also see another post that used the Dejavu font, it doesn't render the Hebrew fonts very well, but it does work. Thanks for the assistance.

Hummm, I installed the Code2000 font, but the program does not seem to see it there in the list... I have closed it and re-opened the program, is there something I did not do or missed???
Re: Ubuntu 10.4 & Linux...
where did you install? c:\Windows\Fonts?
No, there is nothing special to do

This is not related to theWord i think, but i am no linux expert

You may want to try using the Ezra SIL font. It should be in the repository. It is an open source font especially for biblical Hebrew.

Yes, Thank you I have that one loaded for the Hebrew. Actually the Code2000 works the best if you can figure out how to get it installed in Ubuntu rather than the wine windows font directory. I used the fonty python app. But I'd rather figure out how to install it in the Ubuntu font directory, just can't seem to find it....

I do not know how the gnome desktop does it but if you use the kde desktop the font installer is in System Settings

I had the same problem and now are able to read Hebrew Letters.
Do this:
open the program "synaptic"
search "ttf-sil-ezra"
right-click, install
open "theword" by "WINE" and you will see
Ubuntu 10.4
Wine 1.2
theword on sd-card
