Ok, I figured out a work-around. "TheWord" now runs in Suse 11.4. The issues seems to be with WINE.
What I did was to go into WINE Config using the GNOME utility and set WINE to emulate Win95 for "TheWord." For what ever reason this lets it run and work fine. However, when you close "TheWord" it will tell you that there was an error and the program must close. Nevertheless, "TheWord" still opens and run just fine. This is not a perfect fix, but it is a good work-around until we figure out something better.
So far I have only had this problem with "TheWord." My other windows applications seem to be running fine.
If anyone has a better solution or fix please post it for us....
