Post Android emulator for x86 apps from Intel?
From another topic that got to be [OT] >>

I did come across an article / announcement about an Intel and Android emulator
http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/24/30407 ... ndwich-sdk

I just glanced at the article, but my quick impression is that it "might" allow x86 apps like TW to run (slowly?) on an emulator (or op code translator) that was hosted on a high performance desktop. Obviously, that is a Very Different situation than an emulator/translator on an ARM device.

It might be of interest to see whether TW might run on the Intel utility.

TMI?
When Palm changed from their original PDA 680x0 cpu to a much faster ARM-based cpu, they provided an op-code translator so older apps could run. Incredibly sloooooooowly, however. A simple search for something like "jerusalem" on most Bible software could take 30 minutes or longer (or the battery died, whichever came first).
