Costas,

Have you given any thought to something like this?

http://www.crossfpc.com/

From their website:
"CrossFPC fills a niche - people who wish to do their R&D work completely under Windows inside the Delphi IDE, but would like to also natively target other hardware and OS platforms while doing so."

There are some things about TW that don't work as expected in Linux/Wine besides running slower than on Windows. There's not really any native Linux app that is a close competitor to TW. It might at some point be useful for porting to Android also.

I'm afraid it isn't yet suitable for visual applications like theWord:
For now, Visual VCL or CLX applications are not supported. The project is therefore best suited for embedded applications and applications that do not use a standard OS GUI
