There are some things about TW that don't work as expected in Linux/Wine besides running slower than on Windows. There's not really any native Linux app that is a close competitor to TW. It might at some point be useful for porting to Android also.

I'm afraid it isn't yet suitable for visual applications like theWord:
For now, Visual VCL or CLX applications are not supported. The project is therefore best suited for embedded applications and applications that do not use a standard OS GUI

As time goes by, i am always reading for such technologies... up to now i haven't found something that can really do that trick
