Working with Google books

Post by Manuel »

Hi dear brethren.

Many of us know that Google books has a lot! of good classic books for study, but the PDF format it's really a problem when it comes to porting to TheWord (and any other software  ), well, this books also can be download it as EPUB and here comes the trick, using the free open source program Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ you can transform this EPUB format to RTF and several others, with this we have very good entry point.

Hope this helps.
God bless,

Manuel.

I, too, have found Calibre to be a wonderful tool, and I finally have a way to organize all my PDF's.
(everything from technical specs to theological works to tractor parts - all easy to find now)
I especially like the ability to have multiple versions of the same work & title.

Like theWord, the plethora of features keeps surprising me.

Calibre is a great tool. I've been using it to convert PDFs, HTML, RTF, ePub and so on into Kindle format. It's a great idea to use it to create RTF versions for import into theWord. I'm going to have to try it.
Thanks for the idea Manuel!
