convert esword 8 module

Post by bcreighton7 »

I downloaded an RNKJV_8U esword module which is version 8. Stands for Restored Name KJV.
When I unzipped it, it was a .exe file.
I poke around trying to find out how to convert it, but haven't found anything that has worked.
The converter program just said it was an unrecognized file.
Can it be converted?
Thank you in advance.

Yes,
Thank you for your quick response
First, let me say I love TheWord - it has become my goto bible software!! I owe them a donation! wish I were rich.
This is where I got it http://yahushua.net/main.htm
look for the link on the left middle of the top box for older version 8

Due to copyright issues I may want to use another version which is from the Sword project. I have it on Xiphos, but don't like it so much. How would I convert it?

I believe the RN KJV will be a very important English version for the future since the standard KJV doesn't give as much understanding to the true nature of God - everything is just translated to God and Lord, and I think too much meaning is lost. I would love to be able to use it on TheWord.

Again thank you for your help.

Just install the v8 module to somewhere like your desktop. Then use the Importer tool, to convert it.

I unzipped the module into a folder, but when I start the importer tool, and click on "browse" to open the file, it shows the folder as basically empty except for a .mapx file. It won't recognize the .exe file to upload it into the converter/importer tool.

I see...... So what you need to do is unzip the file and place the .exe file in a new folder on your desktop. Now run the .exe file and get it to install the module to the new folder on your desktop. You should have a .bbl file there. Now use the importer to convert it.

Thank you
That worked. Duh on my part. But first I couldn't really see it was a .exe file.

How about the RNKJV I have from the sword project/crosswire? (opensource)
http://www.crosswire.org/sword/modules/ ... Name=RNKJV
It opens into a RNKJV.conf and 6 smaller files for the OT and NT it looks like ending in .bzv .bzs and .bzz
Can I import it or convert it? nothing I've done seems to work
It's copyright is universal I believe

That would be awesome, because so far I haven't gotten any copyright permissions for the Esword version, which I don't have to worry about with the Sword Project version.

Contact the author of the module. You can get the details from that "About info" of the module in theWord.
