Yes I found myself in need of that because when I'm working with bible commentaries and stuff, copying and pasting it from one application to another it is kind of disturbing and delays the work a bit. So switching if on/off in a very quick way would be handy. But maybe this wish only concerns my needs
For me such a switch would be also helpful.

But however i really enjoy the clipboard monitor!

Hi Stephan,
the latest version already has such a switch. If you enable the tray icon (File-Preferences->General->Minimize window to tray icon) then you can enable/disable the CM from the right-mouse-context menu of the tray icon,
