Making Modules

Post by patchworkid »

Hi all,

I am trying to understand how The Word module (that I make or convert from e-Sword) is open?
example in e-Sword my Study bible set http://www.biblesupp...tudy-bible-set/ (the modules is locked but The Word version of my set is nothttp://www.wordmodul...tudy-bible-set/

DDT suggest that I should switch from e-Sword to The Word but My concern is not really all the modules I have collected over the years (over 15 gigs) but my concern is my study bible set and the modules that is unlocked.

Any Help is appreciated. (Making modules to be locked, and how to use the Word better).
I mainly use Tool Tip Tool NT to make modules. My main software to study the Word is MySword.

To "lock" the module, simply right click on the module icon(in theWord), and select properties from the menu; settings and actions tab; At the top is a checkbox for user module; uncheck that and now it can't be edited accidentally.

The shortcut way in theWord, is to select the module and then press Ctrl+Shift+U this is a quick toggle.

Hi all,

I believe I have figured out how to convert e-Sword bblx to the Word.
Here is a zip file that has the files I was working on.
http://www.wordmodules.com/topic/1492-m ... #entry2242

Now here is the process I made the Word module
1. I opened Tool Tip Tool NT (made a bible RTF file)
2. I removed all Formatting and Remove all Tabs
3. I added the formatting I wanted and even added strongs (I used all the colors, bold, italics, and underline)
4. I saved the RTF file and made the bible module (bblx)
5. I opened up BeST2 and convert it over to e-Sword v7 (bbl)
6. I open the Word converter and convert v7 (bbl) to the Word
7. I opened the Word to look at the module (to see if it looks OK, if not )
8. I open the Word module with Word Pad (do this with the samples I uploaded to see how it looks)
9. I looked for the mistakes that was in the Word;
Examples:
strongs - <H><WH430><font color="#000000"> Remove <H> , and
italics - <i>Heaven</i> If the rest of the line is italics look for this <i>at the end it should look like this </i>

Note: <b>God</b> is for Bold; <b> is the begining and </b> is the end
Open OKJV v5 in Word pad and look at the color of codes. please examine this file to get an understanding.

Thanks to all who help me get the understanding (Holy Spirit, JPG and others)

I am not sure of the value of the commentary template to be honest. It is just as easy to do it from within theWord from the file menu ->New User Module. Same for a Dictionary that does not have too many entries, not template file is needed.
However if you have a large amount of topics to make into a dictionary I suggest using T4 and using theWord's importer tool to get it to a .dct.twm module.
