I recently downloaded theWord, arranged it to my liking, am very pleased with it and a my-graphics module. The questions I have are how do I add images to it and what type of files must the images be. Most will be line images or table format but some may be photos or drawings.

According to the module doc file the currently supported formats are
bmp, jpg, gif, ico, emf, wmf, (png also supported): picture formats supported.
Always insert a picture via the picure icon on the top menu(not copy paste), otherwise there is some behind the scenes changes to the file if I recall, so quality might change.

Now the missing icon. Make sure the Formatting toolbar is on.

When you have focus in the Bookview and it is editable there, then the bar will appear, at the top of the main program window

I am sure you will know how to go from there.
