Different color for bible texts

Post by fadiWhy »

Dear all ,

Memorizing verses gets harder with time . What I know is that if you assign colors to words, will make the remembering easier .
it is difficult to remember that a certain verse is located in Chronicles or kings? Did Jesus say this in Mark or Luke?

Is there a simple way to assign a color to each book of the bible?

Well, you can try and edit any open module and change font colors of each book's lines.

Well, a book module is just text file with a verse per line. Formatting are done using a subset of HTML tags. So you can edit a bible module file and add colors to each line according to what you said: all the lines from Matthew get one color, the ones from Luke a different one, etc. You change font color using the <font> tag, like this:

Code: Select all

<font color="#0000ff">xxx</font>
You'd need to wrap every line with the desired font color, for tags can't span multiple verses. That's the idea.

Let me suggest to use highlighting.
You can just select the verse you want and apply a font color or a background color. Of course you can do that only one verse at a time, but you do memorize verses one at a time also
