Highlight not working

When I click on highlight nothing happens... before you ask, yes, highlight is turned on. When I change highlight color the highlight color does not change - unless I shut down the bible then re-open; then the highlight icon is the color I choose. But if I click on it still nothing happens. Then if I close the bible and re-open again, the icon turns back to the default yellow. Being able to highlight a verse is a very important feature - My physical bible is very colorful as I color verses lots.

Am I missing something - does anyone else have this issue.

I think you have to select some text first and then a color. Then the icon should change to this color and from this point on, just select text and hit the highlight icon.
If the icon is grey underline then it is set to remove/no color setting.
Does that work?

Oh I feel like such a dodo... Yes you do have physically choose the verse with your mouse for it to work. sheeesh, and thank you.
