Hi! I'm new to the forum and I apologise for any mistakes.

I have downloaded theWord 4.0.0 on macOS Sierra. I would like to be able to write notes on the verses.
I've looked around somewhat but I can't seem to be able to follow any of the instructions that I find (e.g. one mentioned a 'Notes' menu).

Beware of the use of the default layouts that are mentioned in videos. They are a first step in making a window layouts to your requirements. Once you have settings and windows to your liking, save it under a new name. Remember that if you changed any settings that you would like to keep for a particular layout, remember to save it before switching to another layout. If this does not make sense to you at the moment it will one day.
