Verses in Verse List just DISAPPEAR.

I add verses to a verse list.
I click to view bible text.
I go back to the verse list.
I try to type a name for the list in the empty text box above the list.
The verses disappear. Another verse list loads in its place.
No warning. No dialog box. Nothing.
Gone.
A bit of a bummer.
This has happened several times.
I wish it could be fixed.
I really like the program, but it has some buggy behavior like this that sometimes really makes me want to use something else instead. Of course the great features keep me coming back.
Reporting here in hopes it may be fixed!

Thanks for taking time to post here.
It would be useful to know your operating system (Linux, or Windows,....) and the version of theWord.
There are warning dialogs at appropriate places so that what you describe cannot happen. (if you could locate and post a copy of your 'config.ini' it might help us repeat a unique setup that stops the warning not appearing.
Your assumption above is not correct as to what that 'box' is for, it is clearly stated http://www.theword.net/manual/list_view.htm and if you hover the mouse in the box you get a 'Hint popup' "Select a verse list to view", this is not how to save verse lists, as you will know from reading the manual entry for this topic at the link above.

Hi Joe,
this issue has not been reported before. I assure you that it will be fixed if it is proved to be a bug.
If you have been around for a while you will know by now that the average time to fix such bugs in theWord is really small, once they are reported and identified,

I tried to recreate the issue, but could not. If it happens again I will try to remember the sequence of steps. Of course, it could have been a PEBKAC error. If so, my sincere apologies.
