Colorize columns in "Compare" view for quick identification

I do not use "compare" view very often, because it seems to be very limited regarding what the user can do with it. First of all, one cannot highllight, underline, nor change any colors of any text at all, while in "compare", so that alone makes it very unuseful. It is also hard to keep up with which column represents which Bible text--unless I look at the floating header--as, in some of my "sets," the KJV is first, and in others, it is in the second or third column, so when I go from one view to another, I have to remind myself that the KJV is no longer in the same column as before.

I have a suggestion regarding how to make the columns easier to follow visually. Simply allow each column in "compare view" to be colorized with a light pastel color (see screenshot). You could probably choose the colors arbitrarily, as long as you always used the same color for the same Bible translation (e.g., KJV always pastel yellow, regardless of which column it appeared in.) Otherwise, you could allow the user to choose his own colors as an option in the preferences.

In the meantime, "compare view" would be much more useful if it allowed all the usual formatting features.

You can rearrange the Bibles in your set so that they are in any order you like.

O.K. I didn't know that. Thanks.

Even so, the colorizing idea seems like a good one for fast visual identification, provided the same colors always apply to the same Bible translations. You be the judge.
