Good everything; [day, evening, night... whatever..
I just discovered that the Clipboard Monitor, which is a tanfastik feature I love, will not work on my Apple Mini Mac.
Is it just me or is this true for all Apple puters?
Thanks;

Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
I'm using an iMac and it doesn't appear to work on mine, either. Any suggestions from anyone?
Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Someone with Apple experience???
Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Costas,
I'm pretty new to Apple but I've noticed that I've been having a little trouble with copy & paste as well. I think it's on the Mac end. I've contacted them through the forums but I haven't heard anything back yet.

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Actually it's the integration of Wine and native Mac

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Is there a newer version of Wine that we can download, then? Or is this something that just has to be for the time being?
Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
I really have no information on that one. The Wine site should have more info,

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Hi, I want to try out this function on my Mac.
Yet, I am not familiar with this function.
I therefore am trying it out in Win7 first.
I would like to clarify the usage of it on Win7:
1. Type a verse reference in an editor
2. Select the verse reference and press Ctrl+C, Clipboard Minitor dialog pops up.
Then, here is what I found different from the help page:
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+V, no observable effect on the editor.
4. Then press Ctrl+V again, the whole verse pasted to editor.
Please clarify the above steps with me and see if I had configured theWord correctly.
Thanks.

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Well, there is nothing really to configure.
The main function of the CM is steps 1 and 2, e.g. you get to see the text of the vref.
Steps 3 and 4 are a later addition that let you paste back the text to an editor,

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Thanks Costa.
I am using Crossover with theWord in MacOS Mavericks. I am using Crossover because I like to type Chinese directly in my notes. With the Crossover, I found that the CM works with the following steps (the angle brackets represent keyboard keys):
1. Type a verse reference in an editor
2. Select the verse reference and press [Command]+[C], Clipboard Monitor dialog pops up.
3. Press [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[V] and then press [Command]+[V] to paste the verse text to editor.
I don't know if the key sequence works in the Mac version released here.
I would be grateful if anyone can try it out and report. Otherwise, to have a more reliable testing with the Mac-verison, I will have to back up everything and uninstall the Crossover beforehand.
Moreover, with the Crossover version, I am facing a little problem. The CM dialog box doesn't pop up again after I chose the [to List] option from it. It cannot be fixed by rebooting. I don't know why though.

Re: Clipboard Monitor no work w/Apple
Hi,
I have tested the problem with MacOS Mavericks and the theWord downloaded from this forum finally. I guess the problem is rooted from there are two clipboards, the Mac's and Win32's. Although the XQuartz has synced the two clipboards but it seems it is not done perfectly.
Anyway, what I have set the XQuartz is
You may need to quit and XQuartz and restart it after the setting.
At theWord menu, I chosed File > Preferences... > Clipboard monitoring
Check only the "Register Ctrl+Shift+V global hotkey...." option.
However, the [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[V] is not working even I checked this option.
First Attempt:
I typed a verse ref at the Text Editor, highlighted it and pressed [Command]+[C].
=> FAILED! the CM was not popped up.
I tried the [Ctrl]+[C] => FAILED! the CM was not popped up also.
Second Attempt:
Then I typed a verse ref in any text input field of theWord, highlighted it and pressed [Ctrl]+[C]. I then got the following screen. Yet the [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[V] is not working. I then pressed the [Copy] button of the CM.
I then successfully pasted the verse text to the Text Editor at Mac by pressing [Command]+[V]: In short, at this moment, we can do the following to work around until we find a better way or the problem is solved:
(1) type in a Verse Ref in any text input box in theWord.
(2) Highlight it and press [Ctrl]+[C] and select [Copy] from the pop up dialog
(3) At any text editor of Mac, press [Command]+[V]
