An idea for module creating

I was reading the Bible today, and had a bookview window open simultaneously to the Adam Clarke commentary. Of course, the only part that appeared in the bookview window was that which corresponded to the Bible verse that I had already selected with the cursor in Bibleview. I have noticed that this commentary and many others (Guzik, etc.) usually present the selected Bible text before presenting the comment on that text, and without at least a paragraph separation or italics, it is hard to distinguish where the actual comment begins in the paragraph, and especially if all the text is of the same color; one ends up re-reading the Bible text, until he realizes what it is, and then skimming down until he finds the comment. In this case you have made the distinction clear by separating the two by paragraphs, and by putting the Bible text in italic. Nevertheless, today I had an idea that I wanted to share about how to the process of module creation could include a means of hiding certain textual elements without deleting them from the module.

For example, when creating a commentary module with superfluous Bible text, if the module creator could simply select that text, right click, and find a context menu item that would allow him to "mark selected text for hiding," it would not change the appearance of the text at all necessarily, but if TheWord then included an additional option in the preferences, of "hide from view any text marked for hiding," then the reader could choose never to view those unnecessary Bible texts, introductions, outlines, footnotes, and whatever else the module creator had deemed to be potentially undesirable for some readers. By this means none of the original text would be deleted from the module, but would just be invisible to those who chose to make it invisible. I suppose it would be something like the process of embedding footnotes into a Bible text, although in this case, it would be done in Bookview.

Another possibility would be for module creators to mark such texts with a given color, and then to allow the user to hide all text of that color, or highlighting of that color, including anything that the user himself may have marked during his reading. In that way he could continue to use his favorite commentaries, year after year, but in a more efficient way.

Hm... I would personally prefer to have something like a drop-down indicator like web-page have where you can show/hide text. Unfortunately this is not an easy thing to add since the editor used is not so capable.
