Price discrepancy between theWord and esword re: NIC series

Post by ahodder »

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can explain the vast difference in price between NICOT in theWord and for purchase on esword?

E.g. http://estudysource.com/platform/site/p ... ?pid=C0026 vs http://www.thewordbooks.com/index.php/p ... t-22-vols/

Thanks

Personal observations.

Something to note, contained in this review of the NT module.

From a study perspective, this is a good commentary, and one I can definitely use. That said, it is let down by bad formatting of the text. Having notes with the font set at, what appears as either 6 or 8 points in light grey in the main body of the text, makes it for extremely difficult reading. And this is a real major letdown for an otherwise great commentary, and therefore needs to be fixed. Gave it two stars due to the bad formatting.

Also theWord format synchronises at verse level (theWord uses a hybrid format to achieve commentary-like syncing) as you click on a verse in the Bible view, where as the e-sword one synchronises only at a chapter level. e-S version does not have a tree to easily navigate the content, or notes in a popup.

The NICOT set for theWord is lacking a few volumes some of which now seem to be available for other Bible programs. Is it possible that they will soon be offered for theWord?
