This may have already been covered before but I haven't found it.
I have a fairly large Module (Dictionary) that I have made numerous edits using search topic content.
The searches seem to be stored somewhere and results are not updated.
Is there a way to manually cause an Index (Topic Content) to happen?

You can try to right-click on the module tab, select "Module properties", then select the "Settings/Actions" tab, then "Action; Select an action to execute" > "Recreate the search index for subjects", and see if that works.RevSteve wrote:This may have already been covered before but I haven't found it.

I just tried that and it didn't work.
Strange thing is some searches update after editing and some don't.
Thanks for the reply and interest though.

Delete the 'content_search' table, and also perform a 'vacuum' or if you use the SQlite Regex Tool it is called 'compact_database' on the right-click menu.
Similarly if you have modified topics outside theWord, you should delete the 'topics_wordindex' table.
Remember to not have theWord running at the time of doing either of these.
Alternatively, from within theWord, from the properties page as Jeff indicated, but choose the 'Prepare module for distribution', this will delete the 'content_search' table and compact the database.

Re: Recreate Index Topic Content? (Book Type)
Thanks for that JG, it really helped.
I chose to use the latter method since I don't have any knowledge on using the SQlite.
