The links in the email now has the new data for the normal edition. Should be fixed. The research edition will take a bit more.

The emailed links now have both normal and research edition updated and should have fixed the problem JG found.

Hi Jonathan,
Is this another encoding sequence error, and is this proving to be a pattern?
אָ֭בַד
ָ֭

֭ 1 \u05AD HEBREW ACCENT DEHI
ָ 1 \u05B8 HEBREW POINT QAMATS

If I search for ָ֭ I get many matches. Searching for the corresponding word in the HiSB fails to give any results.

I emailed a list to you.

Note that there are coding differences in the Hebrew between the BHS based text (like Eliran Wong's) and the WLC based text (like HiSB). This word is listed as shown in "entries_Hebrew.csv" from EW's project. However, it appears incorrect in that the accent precedes the vowel.

ALbeSh:
I saw that you were involved in various Bible modules. What would you suggest for the difference between BHS and WLC.
Would you recommend correcting the entries_Hebrew.csv (I'm using this by the way as my base with permission from Eliran Wong) or is this simply a difference and leave it alone?

I can build something that will check for these variations but I'm not sure what is the best way to proceed. Especially since at some point I should be generating the Open Hebrew Bible for theWORD which is from Eliran Wong's work.

Hi -
First, I did some checking here. The word is from Job 18:17. If you look at verse 16 or 18, the dehi shows up in both. The WLC consistently uses vowel-dehi. The BHS mostly reversed throughout. But the question is how to address this. If the target is only the OHB, stay consistent with EW's.

If both text types are to be included, the only way may be through editing the "topics_wordindex" table in the dictionary module. Search for the differences, duplicate and edit the line, perhaps weighting the variant according to preference.

I will need to follow up and see if there are more differences like this in the vowel-accent combinations. Regarding coding differences, my focus had been the shin/sin dot in the WLC and the corresponding Alphabetic Presentation Forms \uFB2A, \uFB2B in the BHS. Also, the vav(waw)-holem combination which uses a distinct vowel in the recent WLC (\u05BA), and is in reversed order in the BHS with the one holem (\u05B9). I hope I've got that right.

Furthermore, there are other coding and textual differences between these and the WHM to be considered.

Thank you appreciate the help. Right now the consonantal form will definitely come up in either case. However it is a lot of work to look through a list for the vowel pointings that match.

I appreciate your help. Would you like me to email you what I have so far? jonathanbethanykoehn at gmail.com is a good way to reach me.

It can be downloaded in two versions.
Normal: http://www.wordmodules.com/the-word-mod ... on-normal/
Research: http://www.wordmodules.com/the-word-mod ... h-edition/

Lord willing it will continue to improve as we have new data.

Jonathan,
Do you remember how you built the GrkAnLexMorph to facilitate searching for morphology strings? Can you do a similar module like OpHebAnLexMorph to facilitate searching for Hebrew morphology strings? It could use either (or both) HiSB and/or WHM.
