theWord se actualizará en un futuro? o la aplicación a sido abandonada?

I don't speak officially for TheWord but it is fairly well mature at this point.
There are beta versions that are available for download that you can check out.
Is there something extra in particular that you wish for?

It is not abandoned in any way.

It looks like theWord is already stable enough and, although new features are always welcome and needed, the current (human) resources required for this are not available.

My priority at any time is fixing issues in the current version. A long-standing new release that officially includes the current fixes is due; yet, everyone that scrolls the forums knows how to get the latest beta that has everything.

Costas, will theWord move to 64bit lately? It is because the new MacOS requires all the applications to be 64bit and it will not provide 32bit layer any longer. Yet, we can run theWord via 64 bit Wine project if and only if theWord is 64bit.

There are no plans at the moment, no.

There are some things that are moving in the background concerning the codebase of theWord which might allow others to step in and help (no specifics yet).
