OS? Version, etc. Also is there a background color? Sometimes it is not invisible. I also recommend enabling the Ctrl option in Windows which pings the cursor with a circle when it "seems" invisible but is just against a background that makes it hard to see.

You might want to look at the Sneak-Peek compare. As to doing a massive compare like what you are suggesting that is a bit much but a verse by verse shows quickly what is going on in the Sneak-Peek
