Re: M-Strong module + Wine 8.2 = Rebellion of the Fonts (but only in some pages)?
Oddly and happily, Wine 9.0 and the latest stable version of theWord seem to have resolved this issue! The problematic pages render correctly now.

Re: Trouble Running theWord on Mac
You've not provided a lot of info about how you're trying to install theWord, so I'll ask some questions: * Are you using the normal theWord Installer for Windows (good), or are you trying to use the old, outdated theWord for MAC (bad)? * What compatibility layer, if any, did you install? You'll nee...

Re: Help making Resources
For learning regex, I would highly recommend https://regex101.com/ this thing is AMAZING. It's a whole regex development and testing environment with documentation provided. I've had to use this more than once to figure out what I was doing with regexes. Also, this tip is a bit more "out there&...

Re: M-Strong module + Wine 8.2 = Rebellion of the Fonts (but only in some pages)?
Meh, I literally don't have the ability to buy things online, so anything that eventually requires payment is a no-go for me. Besides, this is a very minor problem IMO (it has an easy workaround, it doesn't affect any critical pages that I know of, the worst it does is make things a bit ugly if you ...

Setting no.uniscribe=0 in Linux does nothing. Similarly, setting no.uniscribe=1 in Windows doesn't appear to cause the bug to surface there.

Re: M-Strong module + Wine 8.2 = Rebellion of the Fonts (but only in some pages)?
I don't think that's something the user can change. I can see instructions for changing fallback font related things in Wine's Uniscribe engine, but not much else.

Re: M-Strong module + Wine 8.2 = Rebellion of the Fonts (but only in some pages)?
Oh really? That's interesting. I tried pasting text from the M-Strong module into Wine Wordpad, and it showed up as boxes even there. I'll take a look at the TotheWord changelog and see what might have happened.
Edit: There are some Uniscribe and Windows text engine fixes in there that look hopeful.

Re: Change or remove bookmarks hotkeys
I use a few shortcut keys that conflict with the hotkeys in TheWord, hotkeys which are used for setting bookmarks (namely Ctrl+Shift+[2,3,6]). How can I change the hotkeys for setting bookmarks to something else (or remove those hotkeys)? Sadly I'm not aware of any way to change those shortcut keys...

Re: Need Help ASAP!
Hello, I created a new folder and named it "theWord" then I did the compact install. It worked beautifully, thank you brother! Once theWord was installed, I went to the "My Subject Notes" file, clicked on it and it opened the word, then asked me if I wanted to install it as a bo...

Re: Need Help ASAP!
Probably the easiest way is going to be to do something like this: Open the folder where you installed theWord into, then open the folder called "Books" inside that. Find the file in there called "Subject-Notes.gbk" and move it to somewhere else. Move the smaller "Subject-No...

Re: Need Help ASAP!
Hello, Thank you for the help and advice. How would I save the new data that I've created in my new subject notes? Should I just save the file (rename the file?) somewhere safe, then when I want to, open the file, copy the contents and then paste the contents into my clean install of theWord? I'd p...

Re: How to set up theWord on Linux for the best experience
Did the tahoma suggested work like Deja u Sans for you? Also a general question have you noticed premium sources that render as random characters throughout the whole book? Not just squares? If so what is the fix? I am on Debian 12 KDE. I have now tried the official Tahoma font. While it fixed some...

Re: Arch Linux: No internet Support
I do not have an firewall enabled. Everytime I've installed arch linux I've had this happen to me. Not even e-sword is working for me (or bible analyzer for that matter... even though I'm using the linux version). Found it. You need to have lib32-gnutls installed. pacman -Syu lib32-gnutls See https...
