You might need to change some settings in compatibility of the program Properties.

You prove the point

It was so simple to mess up and cause issues we then had to resolve. We are moving towards taking such things out of the hands of users with version 7 of theWord.

and when you get to Add Titles it has this info to follow theWord Beta Important: Make sure you keep backups of theWord before downloading a new Beta. Note it has went through a lot of testing but each user is responsible for their own theWord backups. I recommend reading "theWord Changelog&quo...

What do you think the issue could be.
I have a portable installation on an external drive, and on a second internal drive. They work fine.
