Re: Lookup "word" in ->
Thanks, JG. My experience is this,-talking as an ordinary user of theWord, not a skilled developer. If you right click on book view, there are three search options, namely Find, Find “WORD” and Lookup “WORD” in. Of course Find only searches that particular topic, Lookup “WORD” in , as RevSteve puts ...

Re: Lookup "word" in ->
In my case I have 3 search windows, each with different settings and resources.
It always searches the last active book search window. If I want it to search another I click the window to make it active

Re: Copying Search Results
Thanks My Verse Copy Management settings appear ok. I don’t think it is the setting. I have since found a way to do this, by using the “add all selected verses to list”, and then copying from the list. That way it is working ok. That’s why I suspect it is not the settings. Please confirm if it is wo...

Re: Beta 1492
Mine too does not work. Windows 7.
I have even tried to add my own custom dictionary in the directory shown in the settings but still won’t work.
Anything I can do?

Search Shortcuts under Search Menu
I wish a new menu called Search could be introduced in theWord and various configurable shortcuts placed under this menu. I could for instance name one ‘definitions’ and set it to search Websters or any other dictionary. Another could be labeled “Englishmans Concordance” and set to search synonyms l...

Copying Search Results
I seem to be at a loss how to copy Search results For instance I have done a search on G3042 in the Bible and got the results as follows (Res2) Now I want to copy all these entries to a word processor but what I get is (Res1) The Book and chapter does not show. How do I copy so that the book and cha...

Re: Add function popup in bookviews
I agree lookup is good enough. But I think it would be even better if somehow I was able to choose which modules theWord would search. In the Bible view this feature is awesome mainly because I choose the valuable modules to be searched. As it is, the 'lookup nnn in' feature in book view searches th...

Re: Having the software read to you
While we are waiting for our workhorse(is that the correct term? :) ) to implement this feature, a few Text-To-Speech tools may prove useful. One such tool, the balabolka (http://listoffreeware.com/list-of-best-free-text-to-speech-software/) is able to monitor the clipboard and can read aloud the co...

Insert tag in insert manager?
I have not fully grasped how the insert manager works. But I wonder if there is a possibility in future developments of being able to insert a TAG. Say for instance I am reading a topic in a module which I think is talking of atonement , though the actual word atonement is not mentioned. Or I have f...

Drop-down menu in the Go Back/Forward Button
Please give us a drop-down menu in the Go Back/ Forward button in book view If it is possible I should have a choice of how far back or forward I want to go. Say for instance I have opened 7 books/locations. And I want to go back to the 5th book/location, there should be a drop-down menu to enable m...

Book Search Process
I don't know whether this is covered somewhere in the forums. If it is possible I would wish to see the Book search process enhanced. 1. Is it possible to do a "silent" search? I mean a search that does not "lock" the software such that I can continue doing other work while the s...

Re: Compact/normal installations
Thanks, Costas. Incidentally that is exactly what I do - I copy only the .exe file. It is now ok. How about the issue of "lookup nnn in" search? How do I cancel it once it has started? I have a big library and a slow computer. But this really is not a big issue. Thanks for a very, very use...

Compact/normal installations
Costas, Greetings I had posted that there is an error in the recent beta versions in that they do not display a caution message before a module is deleted. It appears, however, the problem occurs only when running theWord in compact mode. Now the reason I run theWord in compact mode is because of sp...
