Making a donation without personal info

It seems it is necessary to give all kinds of personal info in order to donate to TW. Wouldn't it be better to make that optional, and just require the bare paypal info?

Also, do our forum accounts here register over at the book/donation site?

Bonus suggestion: have an additional alternative to paypal.

Thanks.

Greetings Paul,
The additional information is due to the system needing to record all info incase of mailing a USB drive. If you fill in like a - etc perhaps you will not need to give actual information. However, note if you ever need to order a USB you will need to remember to put your actual address in. Also note to jump between debit/credit processing agencies is a great deal of work.

Hello Jonathan,

Several times now I've been to the donation page but did not go through with it because of all the details required. Perhaps opening TW up to straight donations - I have no interest in the USB stick - would expand the donor base.

Ditching Paypal would be a drastic step. I was only suggesting adding an alternative. I mention it because PP has been flexing its censorship muscles as of late, very unjustly in my view, and I would like to support a free speech platform AMAP.

Be well.

I was able to remove the question in regards to shipping for a donation. However, the billing information is required.
