Post A word of appreciation
I just downloaded The Word 3 Beta and find it to be an amazing tool. Thanks to the author for making it available to us.
I am the President of a Theological Seminary & University College that offers Far Distance training not only in Theology but also in some other closely Christian Ministry related areas of study (Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate). Until now, all of our students (most of whom reside in the poorer parts of the world) have been enrolled for free on the basis of full scholarship we have made available to them.

You cannot imagine what a blessing The Word Program could be to our students and graduates already in practical ministry work alike: In those countries where they reside, they normally have no access to the minumum of theological literature (either they are too poor to purchase the books or they cannot be obtained there) and all the study aids and reference literature that a pastor/priest would need to make a sound exegesis of a Biblical text when preparing a for a sermon or a Bible class. Being able to give away the The Word program and the add-ins/modules it offers is a great help to help those in need. They literally will have their Bible Library tools on CD-ROM and could install it on their local computers and make print-outs.

We wish to express our dep gratitude for this precious gift and hope you, the maintainer and software author of the program, will add more helpful features and add-ons in the future that will be of great blessings to Bible Scholars and students in the poorer parts of the world.

We have a number of ongoing Bible Translation Projects into some local languages in Africa and Asia and therefore need to make constant reference to Bible texts in the original languages. Please bear this need in mind in future software development.

Have a great day, and God bless!

I am really happy to know that you can use TheWord for the spread of the Word of God and the edification of His own.
The support of the original languages and the support for non-English languages in all functions has been at the top of the "development agenda" from the beginning of version 3. Many things will come soon (features and resources), as the Lord guides. Don't hesitate to make suggestions or requests.

In Christ,
Costas
