In Bible View there is a clickable +/- in its margin whereby I can easily increase or decrease the font size of the Bible text. However, when I adjust the Bible text to be smaller, the font size of the footnotes & cross-references also gets smaller. Since their font size already is very small, it becomes too tiny to easily read.
QUESTION: Is there a way to increase the font size of footnotes & cross-references independently of changes to the font size of the Bible text?

Re: Font size for footnotes & cross-references
Can you give us a screen shot of what you mean please, so we can see what is too small.

Re: Font size for footnotes & cross-references
The text following "Hostility has ceased" is an example of very small references that I would like to enlarge.

Please post your config.ini file so I can get your exact setup.

Desktop scale = 1366x768, the factory's recommended setting for this HP laptop. OS = Windows 7 Pro.JG wrote:Please post your config.ini file so I can get your exact setup.

theWord version = 5.0.0.1450.
The config.ini file is rather large. In any event, this forum's uploader won't accept file extension .ini so i copied it to a .txt file. That isn't accepted, either. It would take about a dozen screenies to do it as .gif extension -- much to many screenies, I think. So.... email it to support? Or -- If there is no readily available fix for this -- declare it a successful impasse & move on?

Re: Font size for footnotes & cross-references
I see you have the font for the NET2.1 set to +10
I suggest you set it back to 0 and use the + and - of the Bible view to enlarge the text

Oi vey! That did the job. Thanks to the nth!!!JG wrote:I see you have the font for the NET2.1 set to +10

P.S. As you no doubt know, I set the fonts for all my Bibles (including NET2.1) to Segoe Semibold size 10 by doing... File > Preferences > Bible Texts. My *situation* ensued therefrom. I wonder if the setting for font size should be in either "Preferences" or "Bible View", but not both?
P.P.S On a scale of 1 to 10, theWord app has soared to a 12 (& climbing). Shazam! (^_^)

Re: Font size for footnotes & cross-references
Well the font size setting in preferences is there to tweak the size of some fonts that display smaller or larger than the default font set. For example Gentium will display smaller at 10 point than Segoe ui at 10 point. If we tweak the Gentium to 12 point it appears the same size as Segoe ui at 10. Then in the Bible view all Bibles can show at the same size visually. Now if we need to enlarge things it is a simple matter of zooming the Bible view, and any Bible we display will be an appropriate size.
