I discovered that the word "yourselves" is always presented as "your selves" in the KVJ 1611 module except in 1Ki 20:12; 1Pe 5:6. I checked these against a 1611 scan I found online and they are separated there. The link to that scan is: http://sceti.library.upenn.edu/sceti/pr ... ID=kjbible

I don't know if it helps or not, but it was common to separate the two words. Making a compound word -- 'yourselves', 'ourselves', even 'sometimes' -- is a relatively modern thing. English printed books from the beginning of the 1900s used to separate the words.

Thanks. I was already aware of this. I was only pointing out that in all other places the words are presented as "your selves" while in these two verses they are presented as "yourselves". Also that in the 1611 they are presented as "your selves". for the sake of being consistent in the AKVJPCE module as well as being consistent with the 1611, it should be presented as "your selves" in these two verses.

These are interesting observations. It is also interesting to compare different printings of the 1611 and see how spellings were different, especially in the chapter outlines. "Hee" "He" (no that is not laughter, but showing a simple variation of spelling between to "master" texts.

The "true" 16111 seems to vary depending on preferences, culture, geographical nuances, nationality, and commitment to one or another "expert" or "prophet". The truth is that most people who believe they have "the original" Authorized Version (including the majority of those who call down all manner of nasties on the readers of modern bibles) are actually reading the 1749 revised version.

The Pure Cambridge Edition is probably the most accurate rendition of the the intended 1611 version. I say "intended" because proof reading prior to printing wasn't a priority back then and just about every 1611 printing contains errors of some sort or another.
