Ephesians 4:16 ἑαυτοῦ

Post by jonathangkoehn »

In Ephesians 4:16 ἑαυτοῦ has the morphology code of F-3GSM

If you check various versions NASB, ESV2007, ESV2011, NIV, HCSB, NKJV and KJV this word is often translated as itself and specifically in these versions in refering back to body which is neuter not masculine in the greek. Yes this is a reverse way to arrive at grammar based on various versions but this spans TR and NA27 based translations. TR and NA27 both seem to have this morphology code.

I may be wrong but perhaps this morphology code needs changed to F-3GSN.

one can see that this is indeed a viable option.

Perhaps I'm missing something if someone would care to explain from the greek.
