Colored window background refuses to change

Hello, again.

Not actually a bug or error necessarily, but possibly an oversight.

It seems that, whichever skin I choose, the "options" tab and "detailed" tab within Bible search view, the background color remains gray, and hard to read.

My vision has got a bit worse lately, so I keep my window backgrounds white, and the text black, so that the contrast makes everything so much more legible. Nevertheless, the two tabs mentioned above always keep the text very tiny, so it would be nice to have the background white, as well, to increase the contrast and make the text more legible.

Otherwise, to enlarge the text itself is another viable option, except for the fact that the gray background seems out of place, aesthetically speaking, when using skins of any color combination other than gray. This would make the immutability of the gray background seem to be an oversight, rather than an intentional part of the design.

Possibly it is to do with the operating system.
On Win 8.1 it changes for me.

I have TheWord 5 installed on a Windows Vista Ultimate computer also, and it does exactly the same thing as in my screenshot above: both tabs are gray as described.

If you need anything from me to figure it out, let me know.

In Vista, try "Windows Aero or Vista basic" as the color scheme, in the Appearance Settings. This fixed the issue on my testing Vista.

Standard and Classic refuse to budge from gray.

Good observation. Yes, the same is happening on my Vista set-up. Some schemes are producing the gray background while others are not. (One can cycle through the schemes to see the results immediately if TW is open in the background)

Given that the classic/old windows themes are not really used much, I would like to ignore this for.
