If you just can't seem to bring yourself to read much of your preferred bible version(s), and yet your spirit is willing; may I humbly suggest that you try reading 1 or 2 chapters of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU) New Testament each morning (or another bible which very tightly approximates the King James Version in meaning when you comprehensively compare it verse-by-verse in bible software)? Or maybe you have read the KJV in the past, and you perceived the words had distinct power [e.g., please consider reading Psalms 90-100 (KJV) to get a taste of that power]; but tackling the KJV Elizabethan/Early Modern English learning-curve hindered you from regularly reading the KJV as your default bible version?
If you can relate to either case above, and you have not yet heard of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU), you might be interested in the description for it out on theword-modules.com (reprinted below):
"The Timeless King James Update (TKJU) New Testament is an English-dialect update to the King James Authorized Version; intended as a complementary reading, studying, & teaching aid to those reluctant to acclimate to Elizabethan/Early Modern English. The TKJU aims to communicate God's Word in more familiar and readable language, while also striving to maintain an uncommon degree of KJV meaning accuracy. Through integrity, the TKJU strives to retain much of the King James Authorized Version's unparalleled power; subject to an iterative refinement process over time. If you consistently read and internalize the King James Authorized Version (or to a little lesser degree the complementary TKJU), and have received God's promise in Ephesians 2:8-9, you shall gain stability, strength, security, and surety in your life, and in the life to come."

Re: Timeless King James Update New Testament
Version 0.8 of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU) New Testament is now available for download; and the forum post above has been updated to reflect all the related details. Note that v0.8 of the .PDF file fixes a conversion issue where certain words with formatting tags were previously missing (this only affected the older .PDF files, and did not affect any of the bible software files). Otherwise, the v0.8 changes consist of polishing edits made between Romans 9 and 1Cor 11.

Version 0.9 of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU) - New Testament is now available for download; and the top forum post above has been updated to reflect all the latest v0.9 details. Changes include polishing edits made from 1Cor 12 through Philemon; adding a new .EPUB format (which is also compatible with Amazon Kindle readers, or Calibre Viewer); italicizing select words within the .PDF & e-Sword .BBLI formats (like what theWord & MySword formats have had all along), and appending "light-gray Translator Side-notes" to the e-Sword .BBLI (akin to the "Translator's in-line notes" that theWord & MySword formats have had all along). Thank you for reading.

Re: Timeless King James Update (TKJU) - New Testament
Formal Release Version 1.0 of the Timeless King James Update (TKJU) - New Testament is now available for download; and the top forum post above has been updated to reflect all the latest v1.0 details. Six full passes of edits through the whole New Testament (NT) have now been completed. Changes since v0.9 include polishing edits made from Hebrews 1 through Revelation 22, Matthew 2:16/18:34/22:7, John 8:15, 2Cor 5:16, and to certain Translator Notes; also standardizing continuing-sentence punctuation (i.e., commas, semi-colons, & colons) being after ending-quotes (as opposed to before ending-quotes) throughout the whole New Testament, and adding a new "The Sword Project" format [e.g., Ezra Bible App (MacOS/Linux), AndBible "Bible Study" (Android), Bible Time (MacOS), Bishop (iPhone/iPad), & Xiphos (Linux)]. At this point in time, I would say the formal TKJU NT v1.0 release should now be ready for sharing the gospel, if you are so inclined.
