I think you are referring to loading theWord?
I just tested on 440 Bibles and 1800 Modules and no problems.
The issue may be way simpler than you might think though it didn't appear in 427. I wouldn't get stuck on that.

So was it stuck on Splash screen for 2.5 hours? Was it indexing?
What mainly changed from 427 was related to one not using Ancient Language Database if LowMemory - thus the question on memory usage.
Also that if you have your display in Windows zoomed like 150% etc. That is now accounted for. These were the main changes...

I don't know if it has problems with splash, it's just that splash screen (and therefore the to do anything in TW) does not become available till splash screen goes away, which takes 2 1/5 hours.

If I choose to not install ancient database modules it does not affect that period of time.

I had all three 27" monitors set at 125%. I have real bad eye issues and had cataract surgery on both eyes. Your comment on zoomed displays intrigued me so I changed size from 125% to 100% on all monitors. I then added back in ancient database files so I could force a reload of TW.

It reloaded almost instantaneously!

So, the whole issue revolved around the windows zoom issue!

Ah very good to know, thank you for that information. We want to get this fixed.
How many views do you have up and/or minimized? Just diagnostic questions. Don't change your setup.

It seems something is drastically slowing it down in the HighDPI zoom code.

Hopefully tomorrow I can dig more into it.

Can you load your setup with your views up in 100%. Then go to Layouts > Export Current Layout - send me the file you export.
Close theWord and send your config.ini one more time.

With these two files hopefully I'll be able to reproduce what is going on for you. Also roughly how many Bibles and Book modules do you have loaded so I can get a comparable number?

Yeah, it does look like that. My left monitor is used for internet research. My middle is used primarily for TW. The right monitor is used for YouTube and Chuck Missler study. TW, on the middle monitor, has three docked windows - a Bible, a Book module for TSK usage, a Book module for non-Bible research, 2 floating modules on the right monitor. Again, the startup speed blows my mind!
