Hi Costas,
It has been a long time since I was here
Have to admit I have not used TW (or any other Bible desktop tool) in years. However since I am again picking up some tasks, I am again looking into it.
I see TW still only has windows downloads. Are you still working with Delphi?
Or is TW on .net by now?
For .net since a year or so .net core is released which enables programmers to create cross platform .net applications.
maybe nice to look into
Cheers,
native version?
Re: native version?
'Course, you are aware that TW for windows does run beautifully in Wine or PlayOnLinux? Personally I run mine in PlayOnLinux, which allows me to "sandbox" it. Granted, like you I would LOVE a native Linux version, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Costas, correct me if I am wrong.

Re: native version?
Hi,
Yes, I read it on this forum.
However, I am running mainly Linux for over a year now and this is very, very convenient (use and manage linux for decades, but last year finally found a distro smooth and complete enough to serve as main desktop without having windows besides it) . Though I do have a couple of programs running under wine, this is only work related. (yes, MS ecosystem ) . Everything I use for personal use runs natively under Linux.
Even though running apps under wine often helps, it never feels the same as a native application.

Re: native version?
Hello,
The only strong native contender I am aware of is Bible Analyzer. He will be releasing a new update soon that incorporates some really cool original language usage.

Re: native version?
theWord is still on delphi, yes, and still on version 7!
If it was to be re-written i doubt it would be on .net to be honest, although it tries to be a cross-platform solution.
